Renewable Generation

If you are planning to install wind, solar, biomass, methane digester or any other renewable energy source, review Corridor Energy Cooperative’s interconnection policy first.

Corridor Energy Cooperative follows the State of Iowa standardized interconnection requirements put in place by the Iowa Utilities Board. The interconnection packet available here has information regarding specific requirements of Corridor Energy Cooperative along with Iowa Utilities Board requirements that need to be followed when interconnecting.

Information / Procedure

  • Level 1 Packet – Up to 20 kW; application fee of $125.00
  • Level 2 Packet – 20 kW to 500 kW; application fee of $250.00 plus $1 per kVA
  • Level 3 Packet – 500 kW to 2 MVA; application fee of $500.00 plus $2 per kVA
  • Level 4 Packet – Contact Corridor Electric Cooperative

AEP Terms and Conditions

Members that are found to have an energized array prior to Corridor Energy Cooperative sending out the Final Approval will have their disconnected locked out and charge a $100 fee. Energizing an array prior to the Final Approval poses a safety hazard to Corridor Energy Cooperative linemen, staff and public safety personnel and is a violation of Iowa Code (45.3(7) and 45.8(2).

AEP Contractors – Make sure you are using the Online Submission for Level 1 packets. Level 2 – 4 packets are the only paper forms that Corridor Energy Cooperative will accept.

Member Billing History to a Third-Party

Billing history information at a residence, business, or a property to a third-party for an account can only be released by filling out Corridor Energy Cooperative’s Member Usage Authorization Form. The member whose name is on the account must sign the release form. Corridor Energy Cooperative reserves the right to verify the request directly with the account holder before sending usage information to a third-party.

Members can call in to request their past usage without submitting an Authorization Form by verifying information asked by our Member Services Department. All usages will be sent via email or mail. Corridor Energy Cooperative will not reach out to their members on behalf of a third-party.
